What is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport?
Drivers near Chicago and Madison have eagerly awaited the return of the well-loved Ford Bronco, and back in January, we shared that a smaller unibody version of the 2021 Ford Bronco would most likely be made available at the same time. Now that we have the details on the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport, we’re excited to report that it will be arriving even earlier! Keep reading to find out what we know today.
When is the Ford Bronco Sport’s Release Date?
Spy shots and partial previews have revealed a new Ford Bronco Sport that looks nearly–if not completely — ready for production. Earlier in the year, it looked like the 2021 Ford Bronco would most likely arrive at dealerships in late 2020 or early 2021.
Today, we can say that the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport release date should be in October 2020, and we think that’s something to celebrate. The larger Bronco should be only a couple of months behind.
What Can You Expect from the New Ford Bronco Sport?
Trying to decide if you should wait for the new Bronco or go with the Bronco Sport? Here are some of the key distinguishing factors:
- The Bronco Sport will be based on the same platform as the Ford Escape. The standard Bronco will be based on the Ranger platform.
- Experts and critics are predicting that the Bronco Sport will offer several different small turbocharged engines, as well as a hybrid powertrain.
- The new Ford Bronco Sport might be optimized for on-road performance, but we expect an off-road-ready variant.
- In terms of price, the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is likely to fall between the Escape, on the low end, and the Edge, on the high.
