With its stronger frame and lighter body, the new Chassis Cab offers a higher-than-ever, 15,090-pound maximum rating in its F-600 configuration. With the F-550, you get a Best-in-Class payload rating of up to 12,750 pounds.
The impressive 2022 Ford Chassis Cab performance isn't limited to hauling. In fact, it can tow up to an exceptional 34,500 pounds—up from previous years.
Combine cutting-edge engineering with lightweight components and you have the highest GCWR of any Class 3 – 5 chassis cab available: 43,000 pounds. Even with the F-550, you'll have a GCWR of up to 40,000 pounds.
You can upfit bigger and better thanks to a maximum front gross axle weight rating of 7,500 pounds. This capacity is standard for the F-600, and optional for the F-550.
The new Ford Chassis Cab is made from a revolutionary blend of high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy. It’s lighter than steel, but still exceptionally strong. The fully boxed under-cab and C-channel aft-of-cab frame uses 95 percent high-strength steel with up to 10 crossmembers, and torsional rigidity is eight times greater than in the precious generation.
Since the latest Ford Chassis Cab is so strong, towing and payload ratings are beyond comparison. Better yet, the following parts and components have been beefed up in line with the model’s greater strength and capability:
The latest 4-wheel anti-lock brakes are larger than ever before and feature the largest rotors in their class. Expect sure-fire stopping power regardless of your load.
